PhD Symposium 2012

PhD students are invited to submit one-page abstract describing their research. Abstracts will be reviewed by the program committee members and selected for presentation based on clarity of the submission, stage of research, and evidence of promise such as published papers or technical reports. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to give a 10 minutes presentation about their work, followed by a discussion with several experts.

The PhD Symposium provides an opportunity for PhD students to share, discuss and explore their research objectives and challenges with a panel of established international researchers in Artificial Intelligence, helping to develop a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research.

All PhD students doing research is any aspects of Artificial Intelligence are encouraged to submit, register, and attend in this One-Day Symposium to gain as much as possible by interacting with their peers and having their presentations critiqued by the faculty panel.

Submission guidelines:

Abstract Submission:

A one-page abstract of your research should give information about the major challenges of your research objectives as well as your research approach and methodology. Moreover, explain your current state of research and highlight the current research challenges which you are facing for continuation of your research. Accepted formats are PDF and Microsoft Word. The language of the PhD Symposium will be English.

Presentation Submission:

Prepare up to five slides for presentation. Accepted formats are PDF and Powerpoint.
